Editorial Policy & Methodology
Every price, fee and legal rule on BOHStack links to an official source with the date we checked it. Anything we cannot verify is left out or marked as unverified.
Sources we accept
- Vendor pricing pages, published merchant or subscription agreements, and vendor help-centre documentation.
- Government sources: Fair Work Ombudsman pay guides and awards (AU), Reserve Bank of Australia, US Department of Labor and Federal Register (US), state labor agencies.
- We do not use review-site scores, forum posts or sales-call quotes as evidence for a number.
What we do not publish
- Hands-on test results, speed timings, tap counts, latency or uptime figures. We have not run these tests, so we do not print them.
- Prices for "contact sales" products. We say the price is quote-only.
- Made-up venue case studies or testimonials.
How scores work
Scores out of 10 are an editorial judgement for the venue type named in the article. Inputs are published total cost (software, processing, hardware, contract exit cost), documented features for the use case, and contract risk. A score is not a lab measurement.
Calculators
Calculators run in your browser and print their formulas and default assumptions. Defaults are examples, not benchmarks for your venue. Regulatory rates (for example Australian award rates or US tip-credit rules) cite the official source and check date on the page.
Updates and corrections
Each article shows an updated date. We recheck prices when vendors change plans and Australian award rates after each 1 July annual wage review. Send corrections to [email protected].

We earn affiliate commissions on some /go/ links. Commercial terms never affect scores, verdicts or ordering. See the affiliate disclosure.
